Here are some quotes from the post-game presser. I'll keep adding more as the players come out. These quotes are not verbatim.

Jerry Kill:
Nebraska played very well. They had a good game plan offensive. Thought they executed very well. Thought out kids fought well. Had lots of injuries. Kids are playing as hard as they can play. Have to keep moving foreword. Some good things and bad things from the game. They outcoached us and they outplayed us.

Missing Cody Poock was a big deal today. We made some mistakes in the run fits today. They did a great job running and throwing. They made some big plays. Jordan Westerkamp did a great job.

They have four good down lineman. Playing quarters and man behind it. Mitch had a good day throwing the football because they had so many guys up by the line of scrimmage. We missed a few passing plays early. They made more explosive plays than we did.

Peter Mortell hurt his knee.

You need your best players out there. The kids that were in there played their butts off. I love every one of those guys out there. They give it everything they had and that’s all you can ask.

On the long run in the first quarter: “It was a bust.”

Both backs didn’t have anywhere to go. Shannon Brooks’ injury didn’t have any impact.

They did a very good job of execution. They’ve had some bad luck this year but they are a very good football.

KJ Maye, we focused in on our film study, that we needed to get KJ, Lingen and our two backs the ball. Eric Carter also had a good ball game. Just have to be able to run the ball. We weren’t moving them up front so we had to throw it more.

Everyone has been critical of Mitch, and me, and that’s part of being the head coach and QB. He’s been hit all year and won’t come out of the game. He played a good ball game today. He played well enough for us to win the game. He did everything he could.

KJ Maye:
I feel we did well overall on offense. We had a pretty good game throwing we just shot ourselves in the foot.

Mitch had a great game. He put the ball in the spots it needed to go. They game plan was simpler than in the past.

We know how the Big Ten goes week by week so we come out prepared every week.

Coach Kill always says next man up. These young guys have been playing pretty well. I have faith in those guys.

This game felt good being able to help my team. I didn't even know I had a career high until after the game. It shows how into the game I was.

This is a perfect time for the bye week. We've had so many guys banged up.

Antonio Johnson:
It's frustrating. We struggled on 3rd down so we couldn't get off the field. Its hard to win when you cant stop them on third down.

Their offense made more plays than we made on defense.

They have been doing different stuff [scheme] every game. I don't think they out-schemed us, they just made more plays.

99-yard drive is always going to be frustrating. We just couldn't get off on third down.

Armstrong is really athletic and he can buy time with his feet. He had a good game.

Mitch Leidner:
We had a good game plan for throwing the football this week. Our WRs did a good job of getting open and the OL gave me enough time. We executed well.

On his injury: I split my thumb open on the non-throwing hand. It got smashed into a couple of helmets.

They just loaded the box and wanted to stop the run. Its tough to get push on those guys. We had some good plays in our arsenal this week to combat them loading the box.

We look at KJ as being one of our most explosive players on offense. Today shows how explosive he is. Great job by the coaches to get him more involved.

These bye weeks are crucial for a team. Its great to be able to get your body more healthy.

Thanks for posting these.

Mitch said his line gave him time to throw. From what I saw, if they did it was just barely. He was getting hit all day today.

I thought Mitch did a great job of staying poised in the pocket even under pressure.

Thank you for posting Bleed. I really appreciate it! Impressive young men! All 3 of them.

Anyone know who that was that asked about the QB rolling out to the left? I think about the 8 minute mark?
