As far as I'm concerned this game is way in the rear view mirror. It's done, it's over, and I'm looking forward. That's all we can do. So let's put it out of our minds, forget about it, and look forward to the NEW WEEK.

Positives I take forward:

1) From watching on TV, I get the sense that Philip Nelson is a leader. He seems like the type of guy who's quite a competitor. The type of guy that's going to exude confidence and be able to get those around him to play better. Let's hope he can limit his mistakes and ingnite this offense a little bit. We need some fire, passion, and leadership from that position.

2) To me, the players seem genuinely pissed off. In following this team pretty close for the last 2 years it seems like this is the most pissed off they've been. Let's hope so. Let's hope they go out there next week and play pissed off the whole game.

3) The game's at home. Home crowd, home atmosphere. Let's hope for a good crowd and atmosphere like the Syracuse game.

Any other thoughts regarding Purdue week...Gotta take each week by itself

Nelson started out shaky, finished 10/15. A full week as starter, possibly a healthy OL and WR corps, start of something special? We'll see.

Since Kill inexplicable burned Nelsons redshirt we know who the starting QB is for the rest of the season....even when Grey heals (not saying I agree with that).

Bowl game and winning record for the season both still possibilities. For either of those things to happen getting a W against Purdue is key.

My Beavers are 6-0 and will be 7th in BCS. Played crappy game and won. My Gophers played crappy game and lost. I won't have an annoying Badger women saying "come on boys" on every single snap right in my ear next week. That's a very big positive.
