Today's Phil Miller article (not yet posted online) in the Strib features 6 photos of Tim Brewster. The one on the front page of the sports section is in color of Brew addressing the team before last Saturday's scrimmage. The other 5 are on page C4 of the Sunday sports section. It's the large, above-the-fold picture on page C4 that leaves me shaking my head.

The attempt, I think, was to show the personable side of Brewster. The picture was taken while in Tempe for the Insight Bowl. In the picture Brew is shaking hands with a gentleman who's face is only partly in the photo. Standing behind Brewster over his right shoulder is Goldy Gopher in the background who is standing next to an older gentleman, demin blue jeans, black T-shirt with an F'ing Hawkeye logo on it. Additionally, on the far left side of said picture is a person with their back to the photographer (Marlin Levinson) who is also sporting a Hawkeye logo.

Decent enough article by Miller that will not shed one iota of new information to frequent visitors to this board, but that picture? I hope I'm providing an apt description because it baffles the hell out of me. Seriously, would an Iowa City, Des Moines or Cedar Rapids paper show a picture of Kirk Ferentz taken at the Orange Bowl with Gopher fan showcasing a block M front and center in their college football preview article?
