I think putting money towards NIL would be better. This just takes money and puts it in the "Gopher Athletics' General Scholarship Fund".

Considering the new TV deal money, I'm not sure that that "Fund" needs help anywhere near as much as Dinkytown Athletes could use it.

I'm not sure B1G money goes direct to the Scholarship fund does it? Not to say it still doesn't play a part.

And I agree with your overall premise generally. It's interesting how NIL really changes the landscape.

Unless they changed the rules, it doesn't even count as donation for purposes of meeting scholarship seating requirements.
