The U is not exactly the tech savviest I agree. The other day the SSL certificate expired on gophermail so you had to agree to ignore the warning and accept the self signed cert, that is bad news. Wireless is also unusable in some areas like in the EE/CS commons, two access points for hundreds of people...

I have been employed in a tech support role at the U too and had a lot of interaction with the infrastructure people so I know just how bad some of the IT stuff around campus is.
