Seems like kind of an out-of-left-field hire, but I was more interested in the previous Post Gazette article which said:

Graham, however, also was involved in recent searches at Indiana and Minnesota, and his named is linked to the open Stanford position.

I don't remember his name coming up. But then again, there weren't any flights being tracked from Tulsa to local regional airports.

That's b/c it didn't. :) God only knows where they came up with that statement.

Tulsa's previous head coach was Steve Kragthorpe, who ended up going to Louisville. Kragthorpe's name came up a little bit for the Gophers head coaching job when we hired Brewster but Louisville jumped on him and hired him before things got serious. Kragthorpe ended up bombing out badly in Loiusville.........we will see how the next Tulsa coach ends up trying to coach in the Big East.

I remember back when Kragthorpe was at Tulsa and at that time he was considered to be quite the hot coaching commodity, a young guy on the fast track and with a heck of a lot of potential. But then he flamed out at Louisville, and last I heard he was one of the finalists for the HC gig at Texas State, so clearly his star has lost its gleam in a big, big way.
