At the scrimmage Pitino introduced Bobby Jackson who was a few rows off the court in the stands. Right near Jackson was Richard Coffey, but he didn't introduce Coffey. Would it have been off limits for him to introduce Coffey, because of his son Amir sitting right there and being a Gopher recruit? Just curious.

I doubt it. He probably just did it because Bobby is the bigger name, hasn't been around in a while, and recently took a coaching job with the T-Wolves.

Yes. I believe he could not introduce Richard Coffey without it being looked at as recruiting.
That was my guess. I am going with the theory that all Pitinos know how to schmooz - so I am guessing that he talked to Richard and told him that because of the recruiting of Amir- he can't give dad any recognition - even though he would love to.
