per Marcus:

For the first time in sophomore quarterback Mitch Leidner's career, he completed passes to four different wide receivers in a game Saturday, including the 37-yard touchdown pass to Maye.

"That was good," Maye said. "We've got good receivers. We can throw the ball. We can do that every game if we wanted to. But it was good to see all of us step up when our opportunities came. We made those plays."

Go Gophers!!

There is a method to the madness many of us feel for the offense regarding the passing game (or the lack thereof).

For the receivers, be ready when the play call or audible is a pass. When not the case, block like there's no tomorrow.

Probably a pretty hard road to travel but that's the drill for this year's edition of the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Remains to be seen for the future.

Go Gophers! Beat the Illini!

Coach Kill: "But at the end of the day, we're going to have to be able to throw the football to help the running game."

And, we have to establish the running game to help the passing game.

Both are coming on, fans.

Ahh, the age old question - what came first, the chicken or the passing game?
