per Marcus:
Josh Martin claims he was a better high school dunker than his old teammate Zach LaVine, now a highlight-reel rookie with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The athletic 6-foot-8 Gophers freshman was a junior at Bothell High School in Washington when he and LaVine played together for one season in 2012-13. LaVine then went on to showcase his potential as a freshman at UCLA last season.
“The better high school dunker was definitely me,” Martin said at Gophers media day Tuesday. “I’m not sure (what happened since). He got some type of bounce from somewhere. I have no idea where it came from.”
