per Greder:
Christenson is not only playing again, but he's pain free and is setting up to be the starting left guard when the Gophers open the season against second-ranked Texas Christian on Sept. 3 at TCF Bank Stadium.
Christenson mostly played as a reserve in the final 12 games last season due to "quite a bit" of pain caused by an 18-inch, one-pound metal rod in his leg.
"It was really achy around the break and causing pain in my joints," Christenson said. "It was very difficult. It really was."
