per Marcus:

Murphy had five double-doubles in six games during one stretch (most for a freshman since Kris Humphries), but he hasn’t reached double figures in rebounds in Big Ten play. He’s also not scored more than 12 points just once in six conference games. Conference opponents have him figured out so far.

There’s no question he’s one of the best freshmen in the Big Ten. But when will Murphy have a breakout game like he did earlier in the season? The Gophers (6-12, 0-6) could certainly use it Wednesday night at Michigan (13-5, 3-2) in Ann Arbor.

“It’s scouting,” Gophers coach Richard Pitino said. “He was getting trapped. He’s posting up too far out. He’s catching the ball in bad positions. Free throw shooting is certainly an issue. There’s points there that he can get. But I think it’s scouting more than anything.”
