per Marcus:
"Moving forward, people can say what they want on scheduling," Benedict said. "Nobody's going to totally agree. The schedule as it sits in place right now certainly is a difficult one looking out, especially when the Big Ten goes to a ninth (conference) game. We feel good about it. We still feel like, as Coach Kill says, we're building a foundation now brick by brick. This weekend, we're looking to add another brick."
Junior cornerback Marcus Jones, who is from Wake Forest, N.C., said he was disappointed when the North Carolina game was canceled.
"It was really difficult to hear," he said. "I had a lot of family call me about it at the time, saying, 'Did you really cancel the North Carolina game? I was looking forward to seeing it.' But that's just (the business) of college football, I guess. Everything is done for a reason."
