per Marcus:

The Big Ten plays nine games against FCS opponents next season, including the Gophers vs. Eastern Illinois. Then the number of conference games vs. FCS schools decreases to four in 2015, two in 2016 (Gophers vs. Indiana State), one in 2017 and one in 2019 (Gophers vs. South Dakota State).

"It deals with the Big Ten Network and the (lack of) value it brings to the market," Gophers executive associate athletics director David Benedict said. "The thing out there that nobody really knows right now is how is this going to be impacted by the new (college football) playoff. We don't want to be on the outside as a conference looking in to the top four teams that go to the playoff every year. Part of that is going to come down to scheduling."

Go Gophers!!

Let's face it, you can find terrible teams in the FBS, and there are terrible teams in the FCS, mostly in lower scholarship leagues. If you want good competition and meaningful games, then play good teams that will fill your stadiums . . . that's all you have to do.

Delaney is obviously concerned about more than playing good games, his mission is to go out of his way to hurt FCS football which he obviously sees as as some sort of threat to the B1G reputation. Then he goes out of his way and calls FCS . . . JV football?? Pretty candy ass move. You have every advantage known to man in the B1G Jim, but that aparently is not enough. If you don't want to play FCS games, don't play FCS games, but shut up about it, it is not against the ncaa rules.

Schedule good teams and "Win", that's all you have to do. Going out of you way to try to disparage FCS football, not cool. The best FCS football in the country is in Jim's backyard, and he is taking his ball and going home.

If you want a list of patsies in the FBS that wouldn't make the FCS top 25, just call Barry Alvarez . . . he has them on speed dial.
