"There are no cliques," Ahanmisi said. "That bond that (the juniors) have held since we've been here has carried on. And the freshmen (and newcomers) that came in my sophomore year have jelled with us. The seniors now are cool, too. So I just think that has really helped the team chemistry."

The Gophers didn't necessarily have bad chemistry last season. But they didn't spend as much time away from the court as they do now, sophomore Joe Coleman said.

"Not too often do you not find us together," Coleman said. "After practices, we'll be calling each other up to hook up and watch a game or something. It's cool."

Go Gophers!!

Smith said Monday that Austin Hollins was limited in practice because of a groin injury he suffered on Dec. 8 against Southern California. But the junior guard is not expected to miss the next game.

Hopefully he's fully recoverd for Michigan State. Can't be too serious, he logged 29 minutes against North Dakota State.
