One area that doesn't need a lot of reshaping is the Gophers' backcourt. The new coach has high expectations for last season's starters, Andre Hollins and Austin Hollins, who Pitino predicted would be one of the better guards in the Big Ten in 2013-14.

"He's very professional; that's what I like about him," Pitino said. "He's not a normal college student. When he comes on that court, day in and day out, he's all business. That's great to have."

Pitino revealed that Andre Hollins was invited to tryouts for the World University Games team, which will be held July 6-17 in Russia. Training camp begins June 24 in Colorado Springs, Colo.

"He's going to have a great year," Pitino said of the Gophers' leading scorer last season. "He's not just about basketball. He's in the Carlson School as well. If you walk in there, you'll see a big banner and a picture of him. That's special. He's somebody that, if we have a recruit on campus, we put him right in front of Andre Hollins. It almost looks staged because he's that good when he's talking about the university and the basketball program."

New Ulm Journal: Pitino visits New Ulm

"We will play fast," he said. "We will get up and down the court and we will press. We will shoot a lot of 3's and play quick. We are going to get a lot of athletes. This is the style that I have used all of my life and it is what I like to do."
