per Marcus:
Two years ago, Mitch Leidner was a pocket passer at Lakeville South High School who had just one scholarship offer from a BCS program.
Now the University of Minnesota redshirt freshman is a starter in a read-option offense who tied a school quarterback record set in 1967 with four rushing touchdowns in last weekend's 43-24 win over San Jose State.
"I really didn't know what to expect," Leidner said. "Luckily, it worked out the way it did."
