per the Pioneer Press:

One of three named plaintiffs is Joseph "Joey" Balthazor Jr., originally from Hartland, Wis. He says he suffered traumatic head injuries playing as a linebacker for the Golden Gophers from 2009 to 2012.

It mentions a Sept. 17, 2011, home game against Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, in which Balthazor was on the kick coverage unit.

"On one kickoff, he was hit by an opposing player in a way that blindsided him, causing his head to strike the ground with great force," wrote plaintiffs' attorney James Selmer of Minneapolis. "Following the hit, he experienced foggy vision and could not recall details from the rest of the game."

It claims that after graduation, Balthazor, now 22, "continued to suffer from dizziness and irritability. As a result of the head injuries sustained during his football career, Mr. Balthazor is in need of medical monitoring."
