per Marcus:
Gophers freshman point guard Kevin Dorsey is expected to be out for Wednesday’s game against Milwaukee with a left heel injury, Minnesota coach Richard Pitino said on his radio show Monday.
A magnetic resonance imaging exam on Thursday came back negative for broken bones. Dorsey hasn’t practiced since the injury.
“He didn’t break anything,” Pitino said on his 1500ESPN radio show. “He didn’t tear anything; it’s just a bad heel bruise. He’s a tough kid, so he certainly wouldn’t be milking it.”
“I don’t think he’ll play Wednesday, unless something crazy happens the next two days,” Pitino said on his radio show. “We’re hoping to get him back for Ohio State, but we don’t know. It’s one of those things that responds to treatment. He hasn’t been practicing he’s been in that boot. It’s kind of a day-to-day thing. You just don’t know. I think the first week is kind of like a big tell tale sign. Hopefully it’s quicker than later.”
