That attitude has helped Cobb earn three straight 100-yard games and put him on pace to become the program's first 1,000-yard rusher since Amir Pinnix in 2006.

"I would like to get it," said Cobb, who had a career-best 188 yards rushing in last week's 42-39 win at Indiana. "I think it's definitely attainable with a couple games left in the season. If not, I would be happy with a couple more wins, too."

I didn't know Cobb had an offer from Stanford.

Wow. Came across this stat, kind of alarming when you think about it:

Gophers: 7-2

Donnell Kirkwood: 36 carries for 90 yards (2.5 yd/carry), 0 TD's, and a long run of 11 yards, on the season.

Yikes. Who would have ever thought those two stat lines would be connected at the start of the season.
