The Gophers (4-5, 1-4) enter Saturday night's game in Iowa City having already disappointed fans and analysts who expected them to contend for the West title. However, Minnesota can still become bowl eligible -- and ruin an archrival's dream season by retaining one of football's oldest rivalry trophies, Floyd of Rosedale.

"They're kind of having the perfect season," senior cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun said. "Being able to come in and shake that boat up a little bit, that definitely adds some motivation to the game."

Go Gophers!!

Even though we all know the hogs are a fringe top 25 team. When we beat them, I'm going to act like we beat a top 5 team on the road... And it's going to be obnoxious.

Can't wait until we are all drinking Hawkeye tears tonight. Oooooohhh they taste sooooo gooooood!

They don't deserve to get Floyd. I have nightmares thinking about the kinds of unsavory acts perpetrated on him while in the hands of dodo bird nation.

Dream Killers!

I remember a game I think in the 90s. Iowa was rose bowl bound except for a little loss to lowly mn in last game of the year in the dome. It was a fantastic upset of the hogeyes

Are you sure you're not thinking of 1993 Wisconsin?
