If only Reggie Lynch didn’t have to sit out this season.

I’m not a mind reader. But that has to be what Gophers coach Richard Pitino and fans are thinking right now.

What if the 6-foot-10, 260-pound transfer from Illinois State could play this year? How much would things be different? Well, it makes no sense to wonder. Lynch won’t play until 2016-17. Keep dreaming.

Starting senior forward Joey King said all they’re really asking from Konate and Diedhiou is to get rebounds and play defense, which is exactly what Pitino has been saying all season.

“We’re going to have to get those guys in the gym more, just practice, practice, practice,” King said. “Getting their hands right, so they can pull down some of those tough rebounds in traffic.”
