per Marcus:

Don’t look for the Gophers to get many players back before playing No. 12 Michigan at TCF Bank Stadium on Oct. 31.

Instead, the Gophers added to their injury list. Defensive ends Alex Keith (broken hand) and Theiren Cockran (foot) were hurt before or during Saturday’s 48-25 loss to Nebraska.

“That’s the problem, we’re not getting anybody back and we’re adding to the list, but that’s part of it,” Gophers coach Jerry Kill said Sunday on WCCO-AM.

However, Kill said linebacker Cody Poock is expected to return from his unspecified injury.

Safety Damarius Travis, cornerback Craig James and offensive linemen Brian Bobek and Josh Campion are not expected to return.

Go Gophers!!

Travis must have reinjured the hamstring or there is something else going on injury wise that has not been reported. He was supposed to be close to returning now they are saying he won't be ready to go in two weeks.

Can anyone give me some more details about BBC's injury? I thought it was weird that we didn't put him in until the end when it was desperation time (at least from what I saw, he might have been in sooner). I thought Myrick played an iffy game and I really wanted to see BBC in the secondary much earlier than that. So if he was hurt, why put him back in? If he wasn't hurt, why wait to put him in?

why so many injuries in warm-ups and practices? Remember Gagliardi not having much contact during the week, but unleashing his kids on Saturday, when they were eager for contact. They drilled the plays over and over for timing. Warmath, on the other hand, had ,loads of practice injuries.

That is the most troubling thing to me about then injuries. It feels weird they keep happening in warm-ups and practice.

Pretty sure he was in some early on. Didn't see how much, but maybe he didn't feel right when out there?

They used BBC only when we had the nickle package in, probably cuz he wasn't 100%. We also played base more in this game than any all season.

Bad luck is certainly a factor, but we should also be asking serious questions about our medical and training staff at this point.

Totally agree. I had been saying for weeks the staff should be strengthening Keith's hand. You could just see how weak and ready to break it was. Same with TC's foot. And how could they not tap Campion, Bobek, Jones, etc. lightly on the head more more so they wouldn't get concussions so easily?

Any word on if they are going to redshirt Travis?

They don't get to choose. If the medical staff clears him to play, he can't RS even if they don't play him. If the medical staff never clears him this year, then they can petition for a medical RS.

Hope he gets a redshirt. I have never heard of a team getting a bye week and not getting healthier. Especially when you have twenty-five guys injured. At this rate we may have to forfeit the last few games. It has become a not very funny joke.

Travis must have had a set-back? I thought Kill was optimistic he would play this past weekend.

I haven't seen this team have this type of injury bug since 1982......

Thanks! This makes a lot more sense. I must have missed him earlier in the game.

Man, this is super disheartening. We're now officially gonna get the sh!t kicked out of us. Just for kicks, I'd been hoping to see a close to full strength team at some point this year (preferably right after the bye), but it appears that won't happen. So unless some serious adjustments are made (or kids suddenly step up outta nowhere), we're in big trouble. Still no Travis, Campion, Bobek, Rogers, James. Gimpy BBC? No Keith or TC? Who the hel! will we even play at DE? This sucks.

At DE we can play Elmore. He has been healthy enough to play for 1-week now.
