If Purdue chooses that as their endzone this Saturday that will give them an extra hour and a half to get it fixed before anyone would be running through the endzone.

It's pretty common to have your turf on a bunch of sand to allow it to drain faster and etc.

How did it get to the top? Cause of the saturation of water and it rose up above the turf?
