I took some pictures of the USC Game and thought I'd throw them in here for analysis purposes.
USC's first touchdown. Nice hole.
Kirkwood in the open field. He looked good to me.
Weber sacked. One of the tackles got pancaked, looks like.
At one point the idiots in the student section who were continually whipping magazines at the field started hitting band members, and the band leader was quite peeved. He threw off his hat and started yelling at people.
Eddie Olson beat again.
A Weber pass to the TE. Weber looked pretty good for most of the day.
The USC running back gets loose on a dump off. Missed tackles killed us.
Weber took off on some nice scrambles, but I held my breath every time. He's still not wrapping the ball up all that well.
We actually led in the 3rd Quarter!
This illustrates USC's eventual dominance. The running back has two blockers out front, and is about to get a big gain. Too many of our front seven are caught up in the wash.
I moved seats, in time to see people leaving (way too) early.
The student section was practically empty from midway through the fourth quarter and on. They probably got bored after running out of magazines to throw.
In short, the game's been picked over. USC had better athletes, better players, and a better gameplan, and they eventually ran away and hid. (Better song-girls too, but I don't have pictures of them). I was a bit disappointed in our crowd though (I had very low expectations for the team). Honestly, the highlight was going crazy when the Gophers busted the spread and cast a dark cloud on the otherwise bright days of the USC fans who also happen to be degenerate gamblers (who must certainly be a majority).
