Pics / article of what T. Boone Pickens $$$ can buy

I like to think of myself as pretty objective, but I think that while the lockers there look really nice, the unique shape and size (which we can't tell from the pictures in the article's slideshow regarding OSU) of the TCF locker room make it very unique.

That weight room, though? Wowza...

I have seen other articles/pictures of the changes at Boone Pickens and it is very impressive. There are a lot of nice locker rooms out there but the size and shape of the one at TCF will make it stand out for quite some time.

Don't worry everyone, when I become a billionaire I'll buy the University a new weight room!

TO be honest, I'm confused what makes certain weight-rooms nicer than others. That one looks no nicer (to me) than the Lifetime in Lakeville, MN. I walked by the Bierman facility every day from class and it looked very similar as well, with a much higher ceiling. Is it the equipment? The number of machines?

I agree that this locker room (along with TX, Oregon, and some others) is maybe as nice as ours in terms of class, but our shape and sheer size set us somewhat apart. And if we are in the same class as Texas in terms of facilities, I can't really complain.

I also give recognition to the fact that this arms race in facilities means all the big programs will be upgrading within the next few years (esp. the ones with the monetary means to do so) and we will be back to the status quo. But that means that we were just that little bit ahead of the game and aren't worse off than other programs (ahem..Dome....cough...)
