Yes, I’m sure we sent agents to NCCU and Stoney Brook to convince these kids to enter the portal to come here…Wait....this is tampering... Meanwhile...We have, what....9 portal transfers in already, but there's no tampering on our snow-white hands?
FFS.
assuming that comment was directed at my post....at no point did I say we don't do it....for all I know we could be just as guilty as everyone else.Wait....this is tampering... Meanwhile...We have, what....9 portal transfers in already, but there's no tampering on our snow-white hands?

I'm reasonably sure there IS tons of tampering going on.But if you honestly believe there isn't tons of tampering going on in regards to the portal you are kidding yourself.
My understanding is Dad was not happy with his son's "experience " at LSU - and I don't mean football experience - and Dad decided Fleck's program was what Jr. needed.I’m sure the gophers have done the same thing. Jaxon Howard comes to mind.
That seems different as the Gophers recruited him heavily the first time.I’m sure the gophers have done the same thing. Jaxon Howard comes to mind.
Who is outraged besides whoever wrote that article? (I assume Tony Liebert)I'm reasonably sure there IS tons of tampering going on.
I'm laughing at the apparent outrage over tOSU tampering with one of ours when we had offers and visits arranged literally within hours of other players entering the portal.
You could go 73 or crank up to 76 if you're really feeling crazy!here's my analogy:
I'm driving down the freeway doing 71 mph. Some guy passes me going 85.
and I yell into the night, "he's speeding."
But as long as there are no state troopers on the freeway, the speeder is going to keep speeding with no penalty.
so I have two choices. keep going 71, or speed up to 85 because "the other guy got away with it."
but my Minnesota brain tells me that if I speeded up to 85, that's when a cop would show up.
(my other choice - move to South Dakota......but who wants to live in South Dakota....)
Yeah....the "outrage" is nowhere to be found. More a resignation to the fact that we all know it is going on and we also know nothing is going to be done to stop it. And heck, we might even be taking part in some tampering ourselves for all we know.Who is outraged besides whoever wrote that article? (I assume Tony Liebert)
Honor, sportsmanship, and mutual respect are no longer values of the NCAA or College Football.NCAA should go back to the old rules on transfer - show some spine, tamp down the anarchy and bad faith.

OL didn’t seem as good this year, but produced an all- American, had a true sophomore playing center, a role he had never played, and had a backup, become starter, that tOSU wants. In some respects, losing a decent offensive lineman hurts psychologically more than the other positions. O-linemen take more time to develop (more investment) and are a close team within a team. Like synchronized swimming, except on turf with 300+ lb guys trying to hurt each other......
Anyways, QBs probably take more investment in development, but are lone wolves.
