Phil Miller: Horton Says Weber's Still His Guy

Executive Summary: Horton thinks Weber gives them the best chance to win this year and that putting Gray into a system designed for Weber's skill set isn't fair to him.

Ok coach, what are Weber's skill set that only fits this offense? Second, what is this offense, that only one QB on the roster can run? Why would you design an offense around one QB? It makes no sense.

Add to that the offense has been unable to run the ball, what are you designing?

Beating the Gophers is simple. Stop the run, and make Adam Weber beat you. That is exactly what you have.

The idea that Gray's mobility could not be effective has never been given a true chance. Not for more than a series here and a series there. We have seen glimpses only in the Bowl game and against the OSU second string. It may not be what you designed, but it might be the answer.
To continue to trot out, the old he gives us the best chance to win, challenges your credibility, sense of reality, and just sounds stupid. Coach you are treading on ground that make fans question whether you are both stupid and ignorant?
Which one is it or is it both?

Ignorance is not knowing. Stupidity is knowing and doing it anyway.”
