According to Dave's entry, "Sid Hartman fell yesterday and broke his hip. He just got out of what doctors called "a successful surgery."' Dave's entry was posted approximately 20 minutes ago.

Mike Max will be teaming up with Dave tomorrow on the Sports Huddle.

Given Sid's age, his recovery will probably be a long process.

I apologize for misspelling Sid's last name in the headline.
 

For people in Sid's age group, surgery like this is often times the beginning of the end. Even if they come through it successfully.
 

As wacky as Sid can get on the air, I detest Mike Max. Might have to listen to ESPN1500 Sunday morning.

And, I can't help but point out - surgery was successful. Still waiting for someone to report an unsuccessful surgery.

We all have our fun in regards to Sid and some of the things he says/does from time to time but the guy is a legend so hopefully he comes through all this alright.
 

Ditto on all the well wishes. We poke fun at Sid's grasp of the obvious, but the local sports scene wouldn't be the same without him. Best wishes.
 



Sid is in his nineties and has had a remarkable career. Best wishes to him in his recovery, which can be challenging at his age.
