For Gopher fans traveling to the bowl game, may want to take this into account for your game day/in-stadium Gopher gear choice. No 100% confirmation yet, but would assume that means Gophers will most likely be sporting our maroon jersey. Original tweet from BWW Citrus Bowl is below.

Bump. Begs the question, should we wear Maroon to contrast Mizzou's black and gold
or stick with the traditional 'away' game gold attire?

Also, i'd almost like to see the Gophers go with Maroon/Gold/Maroon for unis.

Absofreakinglutely - but only if it's numbers on the lids - love the block M, but numbers belong on the white helmets - and none of this one side numbers/one side M garbage.
 


My prediction is we will wear maroon helmets, maroon jerseys, and gold pants, our true home uniform. However, I'd like to see the gold helmets, maroon jerseys, and white pants.
 

Imo, Gopher maroon in the stands will contrast much, much better with the Missouri yellow that will also be around in the stands. i.e. As opposed to fans wearing Gopher gold to the game. Then it all starts to blend in together in the stands. I say fans should wear their maroon as their primary color day of game.

also a fan of that combo. white/maroon/white w/ numbers and a classic varsity stripe on the crown of the helmet. harkens back to the 50's/60's/early 70's look.
 

Please... white pants.., never again.
 



We've lost the last two with the gold helmets. Time to put them on the shelf until next year. Go with the maroon helmet and jerseys with gold pants.

Put me in the camp that is fine with any home jersey combo that does not include white pants....never ever want to see white pants with our home jersey again.

This makes me sad. Regardless of what the team wears, gold in the stands looks better. We've been gaining so much momentum in this department over the last bunch of years.

Never understood the whole "oh, but Iowa has kind of the same color, but, but, but... Mizzou also has gold..... let's change so we know who we are or as not to have that awkward moment when our fans match theirs". That whole attitude is, dare I say it, too Minnesotan.

Screw that, I'm wearing Gold. And how about Iowa and Mizzou fans wear black? In the end, Gopher fans will wear their healthy doses of Maroon and Gold, as they always do. And if there are Gopher fans at the games, i prefer they wear gold, but I would never complain if they made the effort and spent the money to be out there supporting in whatever Gopher gear they have.

If it's a contrast you seek, how about we all just be as loud and crazy as possible at these games (home and away) - on big plays, if we're bouncing, people will know who the Gopher fans are.
 


Gold from Head to Toe! I loved the uniform during the Wisconsin game- Gold hats, White Jersey, Gold pants. Not conducive to Home team though...
 

I'm thinking that it is more typical for Mizzou fans to wear black, so not wearing Gold because it might confuse people that we're cheering for the Tigers may not be an issue.

When I see our fans at away games on TV it is usually a salt n' peppa mix of Maroon & Gold and that loos cool to me.

Maroon OR Gold... there is no wrong choice there.
 


Agree with the majority: maroon/maroon/gold. I'm even okay with maroon/gold/maroon. No white pants.
