Every former Gophers football letterwinner will be given a complimentary ticket to the Gophers' home opener against Air Force. Seems like a great gesture on behalf of the Gopher football program and the athletic department. Nice to see/hear about. That is how you build/maintain solid relationships as well as recruiting relationships.

Three cheers on this decision for Brewster/Maturi/Bruininks.

How many seats would that be? Where would they be sitting?

The Athletic Dept has a block of 500 seats that are reserved for University groups to purchase. (The band has that block for its parents day, Homecoming Committee is using at homecoming, etc.)

Athletics is using that block in addition to other seats that they don't put up for sale. Maturi mentioned over the weekend, if necessary, they will also add some field seating for that game.

Did the paper have something about some temp. bleachers that were going to be set up.

Don't forget that there are currently at least 3 suites that have not been sold for the season, as well as the President's suite. That's more tickets/spaces for former athletes to congregate. Does Brewster have a suite as well?
