Tough for their football program. He seemed like the biggest thing holding it together with hope to get through the sanctions. If he leaves for the NFL (which seems likely at this point) they might lose some of their recruiting class for next year, and fall into even further disarray. Plus I think their players are still eligible to transfer without penalty.

If they lied to him about he extent of the scandal I can't blame him; if not, then he is a bum for leaving after only one season.

Money talks. Unfortunately, all it ever says to me is "Goodbye".

Never trust a Belichek assistant in the NFL. Even a front office lackey like Pioli failed with the Chiefs.

Hopefully Jonathan Walton decommits and comes to the U....

"Though O'Brien was not specific about it, high-level PSU sources have told me that Pegula donated a $1.3 million gift to be added to O'Brien's salary in the coming year that will bump his total compensation to $3.6 million and place him behind only Ohio State's Urban Meyer and Iowa's Kirk Ferentz as the third-highest-paid coach in the Big Ten."

Is that legal? Seems dirty.

Obviously situation and circumstances are different but I think both Saban and Petrino both said they weren't going anywhere either. If an NFL team wants him they can get him pretty much no matter the price.

Well obviously not if he's staying at Penn State.

Terry Pegula comes out to save the day again. It is too bad Minnesota doesn't have a guy like that.
