What's this kid's deal? Rivals says he's got an offer from Florida but committed to Louisville???

My guess is that is either a "Phantom offer," or the kid is looking at his playing time options and is smart enough to realize he isn't going to have to wait a while to play for the Gators.

Well, his rivals page says he like MN back in August, so maybe Kill is going deeper on his list since we didn't get any of the Juco DTs we wanted...not sure why this kid is interested in MN, maybe he has family up here or something. Regardless, if it is a good fit, I hope we get him on board.

It looks like he'd be a nice addition to the class.

Once again what does a solid\soft verbal mean - absolutely nothing. I'm not sure why all these recruiting services list verbals as "commits" on their sites. These kids can and will change up to the last minute on signing day.

Dude what's up with the negativity, we all know that verbals are verbals I was simply stating what the WEBSITE said. Since you must be an insufferable Know It All you had to poingt out again that we should stop talking about verbals.

Dude chill out and take it easy, I think you take like and especially sports too seriously..

By definition, a verbal commitment is not meaningless. If it were, there would not be such a huge correlation between verbal commitments on any given date and the final list of signees on signing day. No one ever said that they are 100%, but there's a pretty huge gray area between 0% and 100%.

Some kids, just want to get away from home, and Gainesville just isn't far enough. Another consideration, he's commited to a school in a sizable city, that's no true of Florida.

This is the key to some of Kills recruiting. It seems that he and his staff are recruiting some kids that have shown interest in the "Big City". This is seen in the guys that have interest in both Vandy and MN. Part of his pitch is probably Minneapolis/St. Paul is better then the city you are looking at.

Not going to get too excited, I only see offers from schools like Louisville, Florida, Cinci, and South Florida. No Western Michigan offer.

Joking aside, this would be a great addition and a position of need.

Negativity on what? I was talking about sites listing verbals as "commits" DUDE!

Where in the definition of the word "commit" does it indicate that said commitment is forever binding and unable to be changed?

If you want to really know where the negativity is- go back and read your wording.

exactly! He comes off very abbrasive... Anywho, I can't wait to see what these recruits can do I know it's a few years down the road for most of them. For me, it's kind of like a Chritmas gift under the tree that is just waiting to be opened, however you have to wait until the 25th. Unfotunately, for most of these kids we have to wait a few years just like we waited on Rubio!

That because "verbal" means not worth the paper it is written on. It doesn't mean "signed".
