Does anyone else find it extremely weird that the U hasn't declared Kill the coach over Twitter or Facebook yet? I'm not saying that they're pulling a fast one on us and declaring someone else last minute, but if the U wanted to be the first to tell everyone, shouldn't they announce it already if it's on ESPN? Just seems very peculiar to me...
 


I think everyone thinks it's weird. Either the U is completely unorganized, or they are going to send a tweet/facebook post 5 minutes before the press conference tomorrow.
 


Strange too that the Pioneer Press article on Kill just says it's being reported on GI and KSTP. They don't confirm it at all.
 


They'll send the tweet out right after they finish mailing out season tickets.
 

The point of announcing on facebook and twitter was to break the news first, they missed the boat on this if everyone has the story.

Per multiple tweets Maturi has confirmed to AP via text. Way to be all over that Twitter/Facebook thing U. First to know? Follow us, we'll tweet something hours after hundreds of others already have...and we'll spam you with tweets about the volleyball team in the meantime. 'MNFootball' meet the unfollow button.
 



They are appropriately embarrassed and were hoping the hiring would pass unnoticed.
 

We should take bets on when the U finally figures out how to announce their choice via social network. It's pretty ridiculous Maturi is texting confirmations to the AP but they can't sent out a tweet.
 

MN Athletic Department equals "Complete Embarrasment". I swear to God our Sports Programs are run by Alvin and the Chipmunks. At least that would match our mascot....

They finally tweeted. What a terribly unorganized campaign. Whoever was in charge should be fired or at least demoted. How hard is it to get a tweet and facebook post right?
 

Ship of Fools, all of them.....let's all reconvene in 4 years and have another "who's the next coach" party.
