per Donnelly:

So what about a Joey King Hat Trick? The first two components obviously would be a dunk and a 3-pointer. But what about the third leg of that trifecta? A few people suggested it would be taking a charge, a selfless act of team defense that a versatile, hard-working player like King accomplishes with some regularity.

Then again, when King committed his fifth foul of the night, the idea was floated that perhaps fouling out would be the third leg. After all, King did foul out seven times last year, and he leads all Gophers with 31 fouls through 11 games.

But predictably, King blanched at the notion that fouling out would be a regular part of his repertoire. "I do not expect to do that very much this year," he said after the Gophers had completed their 85-57 shellacking of the Redhawks. "I had a couple of tough ones today but I'm over it. It happens sometimes - you get a little too physical, but it's all good."

Go Gophers!!

Joey King trifecta:

1. Miss no layups;
2. Play great defense;
3. Catch no hell from GopherHolers.

1 & 2 are possible.

3 impossible.
