Passing Game Progress

That's what makes us scary on Saturday. Combine that with winning the turn-over battle and we could end up with more points at the end of the game.

One of the underrated aspects of this season is the fact that we have been able to redshirt all our freshman WRs. I seriously think that in 2016 with seniors Leidner, Wolitarski, and Jones along with our excellent class of redshirt sophomores will be a lethal offensive attack (although I assume Maxx will leave after his junior year). I've often said that 2016 will be the true "jump" year for us.

As long as our defense can keep improving, we actually have a legit chance of contending for something in 2016. Our schedule is as easy as it could ever get in 2016.

And 2019 is too far away to get too excited, but that schedule could be just as easy.

At this point, it looks easy but there is one less non-conference opponent and one more conference opponent on it. We have no way of knowing for sure how weak or strong some of those conference opponents will be. Purdue and Illinois aren't likely to turn into Ohio State but either of them might be at least as good as this year's Maryland team. Penn State will likely be better with all of their scholarships restored.

Iowa fans were pretty optimistic at their "easy" schedule two years ago and the one this year. They ended up having a losing season two years ago. This year they'll probably finish only 7-5. Turned out that Iowa State, Maryland, and Minnesota weren't such easy games for them.

I was highly impressed with y'alls TEs when you played us (TCU)... and that was on a really rough day for your QB. Looks like some of the bugs have been worked out. Y'all could easily became known as a TE factory if the ones you have now continue to progress.

TE is pretty good for us. Our starter is a soph and he's one of the better TEs in the conference but we have a pretty good veteran senior who seems to be playing less this year. The biggest difference from when we played your team is the development of our quarterback who has improved dramatically. We would still likely lose if we played your team again but we wouldn't shoot ourselves in the foot as much.

Good luck the rest of the season. Even if you don't get into the playoff, you still have a great shot at one of the at-large bowls.

I knew we had a lot of long completions lately but didn't realize it was that much.

With our running game, this is what we need to continue to see. We need to be able to take advantage of the defense loading the box.
