Hey guys, searched the forum and couldn't find my answer...

In the past few years, we used to stay/park at the Holiday Inn and park at the 7 corners ramp. Now that it's no longer a Holiday Inn, we haven't been over there this year.
This year, we have just winged it and tried different options. Parked at 3 different ramps on campus and been a headache getting out.

Looking for input if the 7 corners is still available..Or even the fairgrounds..I heard that you park there and they bus you over... Is that ugly getting to and from the fairgrounds...?

Thanks all!!

We always park at the fairgrounds. It's really easy getting on a bus to the game, and the wait to leave on a bus after the game usually only takes 10 or 15 minutes. This is the option my family has settled on.

There are surface lots East of the stadium that are easy to park at. Some of them aren't cheap though.

Is that YouBaxter? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee!

If you're from Milwaukee, you can park there, and walk.

Thanks Nokomismod,

Quick question...was looking at the map and it looks like the shuttle runs over by the place we used to park (7 corners). I'm assuming all the black dots are bus pickup drop off correct.
Do you know if the 7 corner ramp is still there? Last year, they were doing some work over there and not sure if the lot exists or what they were even doing.

Sorry for the questions! Just not from the Cities and we drive in for the games :)

I park at the River Flats each game. $10 and a nice walk to campus. $ also goes to the Minneapolis Park and Rec. Board.

Thanks Nokomismod,

Yes, that is awesome! Then I guess the West Bank is the closest :). I think the hotel lot is open, but it always seems expensive to me. The U of M lot right by Carlson and the Law School is $10 and the shuttle picks up right in front of it.

Being an idiot I parked in the 1 hr parking about 2 blocks from the stadium and got a nice 42$ ticket, lesson learned.

I'm not sure Nokomisismod linked to a current map. This is directly out of the 2013 fan guide:

FREE Fan Shuttles
On home game-days, Gopher Football shuttles will connect at the St. Paul Fairgrounds
(Lot S108) to TCF Bank Stadium. There is not shuttle service to West
campus. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes during the game.

Edit to add: I reread this and maybe by saying there is not shuttle service to West campus they just mean there isn't a specific shuttle other than the normal Campus Connector. Even though we park on the West Bank, we always hoof it to the stadium, so I can't speak from experience.

you can park on the state fair grounds and tailgate for 10 bucks and take a bus straight to the stadium and you don't sit in traffic

Thanks Hophead! I didn't see the date on the web link and did not know they discontinued the service.

Will anyone at the River Flats lot have any heaters going? It would be great if they would let us haul some logs up from the river flats for a Badger Pyre.

Solid parking deal, the walk isn't any worse than from west bank and beats dealing with the shuttles. Also, small but very dedicated group of tailgaters down there. I'll be there at 7 if anyone wants to join (I'll be moving to another buddy's spot at 10).

Sorry, like I said, not from Minneapolis. River Flats, that just on the west side of the river? Checking it out on Google Maps, says there is a "East River Parkway Garage".

There is a river flats on both sides of the river. We are talking about on the east side. It is a grassy open park-type area right behind (in the direction of the river) the garage you are seeing on the map.

One of my favorite options is the East River Flats lot down by the river. Park/Tailgate for $10 and it is fairly easy to get out of traffic-wise. Right down behind Coffman for reference.

Ah cool. Looks like a bunch of dead grass on G.Maps. Is it a pain to get out of there?

Thinking about it, I parked at that ramp (East River Parkway)by the Hospital for the Huskers game and it took about 90 minutes to get out of the ramp.

Right across the street from the East River Parkway Garage.

I did the same thing for the Huskers game...never again. The Flats lot is significantly more free flowing in my opinion.

If the game goes down to the wire, it may take about 30 minutes to get out.
