I wanted to post this because the article was thought-provoking. In particular, this is the sentence that stuck with me:

"Michigan and Ohio State won or earned a share of the conference title 26 times from 1968-98, but in the last decade, eight different teams have earned all or part of the title."

Seriously. Practically everyone (even Northwestern and Illinois) have been taking turns winning the Big Ten, and we haven't done so in 42 years.

It's disgusting. It makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it.

Unfortunately, with the Vikes the big dog in town...

not many cared what the lowly Gophers were up to during the last 40 years...certainly winning the BT was generally considered a fantasy scenario. Maybe that's changing...albeit slowly.

I think their have been certain years where you could argue it was parity and not weakness in the Big Ten, but this is not one of them. The conference has had numerous poor showings in out of conference games and lacks any elite qb play.

name some of the numerous poor showings in out of conference play? Mich St. losing to Central Michigan, Iowa barely winning over Northern Iowa, I think Purdue lost to a MAC, but these things happen every season. Oh, Illinois looked bad in OOC. Im just sick of hearing that the Big Ten is a horrible conference.

I think Minnesota lost to Air Force as well
