Illinois plays at Wisconsin this weekend. They are going to be hungry for a win and I suspect they'll bring their A game to the Kohl Center after the beating they took tonight!;)

Illinois has the guards to whip UW. Egwu looked really solid, and I think he'll be able to take it to Berggeren pretty well. I would have to heavily favor the Illini at the Kohl Center.

Just noticed that Wisconsin plays Indiana right after we do. So if we can pull off the upset, they'll again have to play a team coming off a loss, hungry for a win. Even more motivation to beat Indiana!

. . . look, I scream at the TV for Bo to "sit the F down" every time he is up in the refs' faces (which equates to a lot of counter-screaming on my part, therefore) as much as any Goldy-loving fan - but I suggest you look at the Grinch's home record at the KC before you inject the words "heavily", "favor", and "(insert opponent name)" when talking about Becky.

That was a big win for us on Wednesday night, but maybe Illinois just isn't that good, or perhaps better said, consistent. We have a very small sample size with them, and we have a comparatively large sample size with the Grinch and Rebecca's home record in the KC.

Just sayin' . . . .

Go Gophers!

That is still an unanswered question at this point.

I am pretty confident in saying Illinois is definitely a top 25 caliber team. Not many teams go into Spokane and beat the Zags as handily as they did. I doubt Wisconsin is able to slow down Illinois guards and their big guys are athletic enough to cause some problems for Wisconsin's experienced front court.

Maybe Illinois is really that good, and maybe, just maybe, the Gophers are really, really good? Let's keep some positive connotation to our guys and what is happening here.

We win what turns out to be a beatdown to a very good Illinois team, and instead of saying our team is really playing well, we tend to downtrod our opponent, so as to minimize the win.
