The entire defense was great today, and Botticelli was incredible, but Steven Richardson and Elmore are going to be FANTASTIC players for us.

Elmore already looks like an NFL player (in terms of body) and he is strong enough to play inside and athletic enough to play the end. Richardson, he is absolutely disruptive.

+1 Each of these young men made some outstanding plays today.

It's too bad Botticelli is a Sr. The guy has been quite a stud so far in 2014.

That's what I was thinking, Bob.

Pretty amazing for that unit to hold up like they have. That's a LOT of young players at a position that it's just plain tough to win when you have young players there. Getting Alex Keith back in two weeks will really help.

Botticelli is a stud right now. If Richardson was 3 inches taller, he probably would have had big time offers out of HS. That guy is going to be so good. Just wait for him to get a year or two more in the weight room.

Elmore was the most impressive to me today. MI couldn't handle him on the line. Amazing.

Those two are playing great for freshmen at a really tough position. Hopefully they can hold up and not wear down too much over the course of the season. Definitely looks like a bright future for the interior of the DL.

I love the way the DL is shaping up. Cochran looked good today too.

I could tell Richardson was going to be good after watching his first few snaps against Eastern Illinois.

Elmore on the other hand looked overmatched his first few appearances, but WOW has he improved in a short period of time. He was a force today.
