It's really disappointing that we can't protect the Bank. I mean, where's the home field advantage? Even Dasherless, I would argue MidTennState is better than NIU and SD, and we managed to beat them on the road. I could see NIU was really pumped and loose on Saturday. Right now, everyone feels and knows they can beat us even in the Bank. Our opponents confidence and energy is at an all time high, and we just don't seem capable of matching the intensity. I sure hope there's some pride left in this team, and we get to see it.

Ummm...there wasn't a home field advantage last season either (we were 4-3 at home). So its not like the mysticism is gone all of a sudden.

The main problem is the commonly used nickname for Gophers Stadium. If people start calling it The Brickhouse the team's performance will start to improve in a hurry. The players will then be playing to protect and enhance the Gopher's much honored history.
