Not only is Syracsue spanking Louisville, but how about Northwestern?

I hate when we play Northwestern because it is always such a tough game, but that must be true for everyone. They are giving Michigan everything they can handle in teh big house with Northwestern currently up 21-14 early in the 3rd. I do find Northwestern easy to cheer for in every other game they play...

And as I explained to my wife this morning, with everything on the line, Indiana is folding like a cheap suit.

Marve is very efficient for Purdue as they lead 17-14. 16-19 for 176 and a TD. Too bad that Iowa game was so early in the season. Thinking it would be a different game if they played at the end.

Boy, you hit the nail on head. It is the Indiana we all know. Plus, even the Badger fans couldn't
fill the stadium. I bet there isn't 30,000 there. Becky will put up 50 on them

Syracuse scores on their first possession of the second half as well. 38-13 'Cuse right now.

Really hoping Northwestern can take this Michigan game.. If there's a Big Ten team I like to see win it's them. Too bad we couldn't win against a pretty darn good NW team...

What was amazing to me about our game against NW is it really felt like NW was dominating us the entire game & despite all the big plays we gave up we still only allowed 21 points. Watching the game you would figure NW was going to put up 40-50 points because that's what it felt like...

Syracuse scores again, so I'm giving up on that game as already over. Moved to Channel 23 here in the cities and the Louisiana-Lafayette v Florida game. ULL up 17-13 late in 3rd and has the ball. This would be a monumental upset. Was it Lafayette or Monroe that beat Arkansas, I can't remember...Think it was Monroe.

Is it just me, or does everytime Northwestern makes a big play the refs decide to throw a flag? While I'd like Northwestern to win, I don't care all that much, but I swear it looks like the Big Ten refs are protecting their asset Michigan. I hate seeing that...

Granted that said, a questionable late hit assessed to Michigan leads to a Northwestern td. 31-28 Northwestern now...

I felt that way in the first half but never felt threatened by their offense in the 2nd half. We didn't allow a point and only 6 first downs (on 53 total yards) in the 3rd or 4th quarter.. We just never capitalized on good defensive plays.

How did we not beat this Michigan team @ TCF against Gardner. In watching this Mich\NW game it really seems that last week was our best shot in years.

Lots of breaks went Mich's way... we were pressuring him all game & I have to give him credit for escaping so many near sacks. Offensively I think we just made some bad decisions such as not going for a FG in the first half & not going for the FG on that fake in the 2nd.

We weren't dominated in any way, shape or form...

I think it was Monroe.

Between this game and Florida struggling a lot against Bowling Green and Missouri I just don't see the love from the media.. I think many of the teams not names Alabama in the SEC currently ranked in the top 10 (South Carolina, Florida, Georgia) are overrated based on the way they've played both against each other (blowouts) and against far weaker NC foes.

Gardner not as good at home against Northwestern as he was on the road against us. Why do so many players and teams have their game of the year against us? It's been going on for decades...

It's always like that. If you take the top two or three teams from each conference, the SEC is usually the best by far. But the rest of the conference is overrated. South Carolina and Georgia each got blown out this year, yet are ranked in the top 8 in the BCS.

A top team from another conference loses to a middle of the pack team in their conference, and it's because that conference sucks. If it happens in the SEC, it's because the conference is so good top to bottom.

Florida down 20-13 now by the way.

His numbers aren't that much different today compared to last week. He averaged more yards per pass last week but that's about the only big difference.

It's not a coincidence.

I was hoping for a more competitive game with Indiana.

That catch by Michigan was so sick just now.

Totally agree with the way the media portrays those situations. And I agree the SEC has proven that in any given year their top 1, maybe 2 teams are better than most any other team (although close games like Auburn-Oregon call in to question HOW much better). But the rest of the conference is not as stellar as the media says (as evidenced by computer SOS ranking and their bowl record not being near undefeated top to bottom).

As far as our game goes. I sure hope this Iowa-Purdue game doesn't go to Overtime. Does BTN have the opportunity to cut over for us locals?

Purdue just beat Iowa with a last second field goal. Anyone see how Purdue got the ball back? I saw Iowa driving and then went back to Northwestern game, which isn't looking good right now...

ULL still playing Florida tough half way through 4th...

Iowa is not going to a Bowl game....no way they will win their last two games. Love it!!!

Iowa decided to go for it on 4th & 3 ( they looked like they were close enough for a field goal) and turned it over on downs. Couple quick passes from Purdue and they hit a 49 yarder to win.

Cannot believe NW gave that game away.. The pick with 3.5 minutes left should have allowed them to seal it but no.. Geez. Michigan gets some serious breaks, whether they be from refs (I know.. I know..) or oddball catches like Roundtree's... Wow.

That was a normal Northwestern finish except anytime we play them Northwestern is the one winning that game. What an awful way to lose, but Northwestern is owed that.

Florida just tied the game iwth 1:42 left in the 4th. Wait, could be holding... Nope, td. Tie game.

Iowa went for it on 4th and 3 from the Purdue 35. I think they were against the wind so didn't have confidence the kicker could make it from there.

Michigan just won in OT. Gardner had the GW TD.

Florida is in the red zone down 7 with under 2 minutes left.

Too many other good games on, but Virginia scored a td with 6 seconds left, which I assume was to win the game against Miami.

It's never a bad thing when Miami loses, especially against a bad team like Virginia.
