Interesting move, mostly because the Chiefs could be in position to draft Clausen. If Suh and Okung go 1 and 2. That leaves Clausen at 3. Probably not the situation they would want to be in after they gave Cassel a boat load of money.

Looking at this through Gopher lenses it sounds like Weiss was an option for the Bears. Now that he is out of the picture the USC coordinator or Fisch could get a more serious look.

you might be right Skitch. I looked at a lot of no name mock draft sites listed below with him going somewhere in the top 5. On the other hand ESPN has him around 28th with Washington's Jake Locker and Sam Bradford ahead.

He's a great OC by any measure and, yes, Jimmy Clausen is the real deal at QB.
The Chiefs' future might come into a little more focus sooner rather than later...
