Noticed the morning female tv co-anchors were wearing Maroon and Gold. One had on a Maroon dress, the other had on Maroon skirt and Gold blouse this morning. Nice to see. Hopefully this is a sign the buzz is getting louder!

Positive vibes!

I expect Downtown to be completely Maroon and Gold this morning.

And they just sang the rouser at the end of the morning news. Ski-u-mah

The bandwagon is growing. They'll hop off quickly if the Gophers lose to Purdue or Illinois.

For everyone's listening pleasure:

For the purists out there - they're marching down University Avenue!

How can you not love this team? Natalie knows what's going on. I went to a fundraiser for Fraser Schools last year and it was the night of the Nebraska game. WCCO morning host guy was the emcee and he referenced the Gophers game a few times during the evening.

Natalie Nyhus (most remember her as Natalie Kane, and who now anchors weekends), weekday morning anchor Jamie Yuccas, and morning reporter/co-anchor Kim Johnson are all U of M alums and/or fans of the Gophers. I believe Natalie Nyhus went to St. Thomas, but most know she has worked with the U of M football program for a while now on the TV side, promotions side.

Mark Rosen, Pat Kessler, Kate Raddatz and Bill Hudson of WCCO are also all U of M alums and/or Gopher football fans.

Definitely think WCCO probably has the local TV station market cornered when it comes to number of pro-Gopher fans on staff.

perhaps KARE 11, which on their weather forecasts places a Viking norseman logo on the Sunday prediction block, may pressure their graphics department to add a block M for Saturdays, at some point.

I declared it Gopher Day at my work. We're all decked out in Maroon & Gold. Every once in a while, you'll hear someone cue the Rowser. It's a good day!

Is the radio contract coming up soon? Maybe it's their push to get the new contract.

Channel 9 had Goldy stamped on the Sat. weather forecast. Kudos to fellow fat guy Keith Marler and cute as a button Alix Kendall.

WCCO (especially the morning show) does the best job of providing coverage / support for the Gophers, IMO. KARE 11 does the worst job. I always watch WCCO now and refuse to watch KARE.

8:00 AM News Saturday on WCCO

Natalie, Natalie, Natalie.

It's pronounced SKY YOU MAH..........not SKEE YOU MAH.

WCCO had a piece on the 100th homecoming last night. When it ended, Frank Vascellaro gave a Ski-u-mah!
