Anthony Tucker from Minnetonka and University of Iowa is transferring to Winona State. From someone who grew up in Winona watching the Warriors — this is great news. I love what coach Leaf is doing with this program. He understands that you don't win at the Division II level with Division II-type players; You win with Division I-type athletes. Look at the roster: Clayton Vette (Iowa State), CJ Erickson (Evansville), Anthony Tucker (Iowa), Ben Fischer (Minnesota, football). They've had numerous transfers over the last couple years as well.
It doesn't happen all that often when a player averages double-figures in the BIG TEN transfers to Division II.

This should ease the loss of David Johnson. With an older, more experienced team than they had this year, I expect WSU to win the NSIC next year.

Just hope they can keep him out of the bars in downtown Winona.....
