I'm guessing there are a few SJU alums and/or fans around here...

St. John's (MN) travels to the Bradley Center to take on Marquette this Saturday, 11/6 at 1pm CT

Complete coverage will be available on GoMarquette.com, which will feature the live radio call and a free video stream on MUTube thanks to a partnership with MUTV...

Marquette will welcome home one of its own Saturday afternoon as Jim Smith, head coach of the St. John's (Minn.) men's basketball team, returns to face his alma mater. Smith graduated Marquette in 1956 with a bachelor's degree in English and history. He was a four-year letterwinner on the basketball team.

The St. Cloud Times also had this nice article...

“That’s where I met my wife and that’s really where this whole thing started for me,” said Smith, who begins his 47th season as the head coach at St. John’s with 713 career victories. “I’ll always have warm feelings about Marquette and the time I spent there....
...The Johnnies have played Marquette five times since Smith took over in Collegeville in 1964. But the last of those meetings came in 1974, when Marquette was coached by the legendary Al McGuire, with whom Smith remained friendly until McGuire’s death in 2001...“And really, Marquette has just been tremendous. They’ve been so helpful and right on top of things — from the alumni office, to the ticket people, to the athletic director. They’ve really gone overboard to help us out.”
