I'm well aware of some of the "disdain" towards the Kentucky program, fans, coach, etc but I'd like to take this moment to ask all of the Gopher fans out there (and I know there are a few that live in Kentucky) to support the telethon the basketball team is putting on tomorrow for Unicef and The Red Cross. Tom Izzo, Rick Barnes, Jim Boheim, Ashley Judd and a few others are going to be involved with this to help raise funds.

I know all of you are well aware of the situation in Haiti and how bad it really is. I'm sure many of you have already donated or are working in some capacity to help out. My company has already sent a few groups of doctors and nurses to the area and more are volunteering every day. Even if you don't want to be involved with this and you haven't done anything to this point please do so. It doesn't even have to be monetary. Anything you can give to your local organizations would be helpful. My son's elementary school are collecting items by grade and they've already assembled over a thousand kits of just basic necessitates.

The telethon will be streamed live on the internet at WKYT.com and on local television and radio. Hell, maybe some of you can get Calipari on the phone and chew him out! That's gotta be worth something, right?

Now that's a really interesting idea. Sort of a radio dunk tank. For 10 bucks you get to accuse Calipari of anything you want, or call him anything you want (within FCC guidelines.) That could raise some money.

Message board information is not always truthful, however it was reported on Cats Pause that Tubby Smith called the telethon and pledged $1000.00. Classy act for a classy guy.

He did. They raised 1 million dollars! Just an amazing event and I'm glad the NCAA did something right for once and allowed the players to be a part of this.

Again, if you haven't done anything to help yet take the time to do so.
