We get a shot of ending OSU perfect season. down go OSU on sunday.

Two guarantees
1. OSU will lose at some point
2. When they lose, it will be on the road

Why not us? I also think the schedule is decent in that OSU has played gimmicky teams that aren't anything like the Gophers in their last two games, and a relative quick turnaround could mean they aren't as sharp against us. We shall see. Now to get Hollins to start...

Why not us, well lets see. We have a 3 man bench unless you wanna include Dom Dawson, we have abosolutely no shooters other than Blake who hasnt been nearly as effective playing pg. There is a possibility we could win and Id be happy to eat crow but its extremely unlikely that this game is even competetive.

Now you're just being nitpicky...

What's that? Number 1 teams win most of the time? I had no idea. You can go through life grumbling or you can choose to look at hopeful possibilities. You seem to have made your decision already.

Why not us? Why not now? If NW could almost pull it off, a wounded angry Goldy Gopher can do it. FWIW, while OSU is very good, I don't think they're even one of the 5 best teams in the country, much less #1.

I want either Hollins or Chip to start, have Sullinger guard him on the perimeter, and have Sullinger get a couple of quick fouls. He's too slow to defend out there.

I think it's strange that there are some fans here that just hope for a close score. Pretty much every conference game OSU plays is close. You shouldn't be hoping for anything less than a win. 'Almost pulling it off' like Northwestern is not what the Gophers need. The Selection Committee doesn't count moral victories.

I want a win of course and who knows maybe they come out playing like a totally different team than they have been in the last 3 games, this is college basketball anything can happen, ask Tom Izzo. Im just so unimpressed since Al got hurt. Losing Mo hurt but I wasnt worried since we have a lots of big men. Losing Judas stung but oh well he probably was gonna be accademically ineligible anyway and we had proven we can win without him. Once we lost Al, we barely beat a team of underclassmen in Michigan and got manhandled by Purdue and beatdown by Indiana for 30 mins before waking up and still losing.

tOSU has done a fantastic job at closing out and winning close games, but I agree that most likely they will eventually lose one of those. Six of their ten conference games so far have been victories by 5 points or less, and the law of averages would seem to dictate that eventually they will slip up or the other team step up in one of those close battles, and end the Buckeyes perfect season.

Seany, the problem with applying the law of averages theory is that there has been a somewhat consistent pattern in all those close wins (i.e., OSU gets a lead of 7, 8, 10 points and even though the score gets closer, holds off the other team down the stretch). If it was truly a case for the law of averages, there wouldn't be that consistent pattern. Here's a list of the time OSU has trailed in the final ten minutes of the game this season:
vs. PSU - 14 seconds
@ Illinois - 26 seconds (10:00-9:34)
@ NW - 15 seconds

I think their margin for error has been a little bigger than the media makes it out to be.

True. Good point. Still though, that's dancing on the edge of a razor blade to have *that* many close games in my opinion. That suggests to me that they have not been overwhelmingly dominant in conference play, particularly on the road against some not so great teams (@ Iowa and @ Michigan, 5 and 4 point wins respectively), but still and no matter what you have to give them major kudos for winning whether by large or small margin of victory, and I do. Bottom-line is they're 23-0 and 10-0, but that all might come to an end soon. They're on the road against us and Sconnie next, then home against MSU, @ Purdue, home vs. Illinois and Indiana, @ PSU, then home against Sconnie to close out the B10 schedule.

That's a tough row for anyone to hoe is all I'm saying, and given the fact they've been involved in so many close games in conference already, it's difficult to see them navigating through that stretch unbeaten. JMO.
