This changes everything.
Nobody has been able to block the Gopher DE's this year on the pass rush. Now, with this lineman out I've never heard of. the Buckeyes have no chance. Expect heavy pressure under Pryor all game with just a four man Gopher rush. Cosgrove, as he has all year, will have the luxury of a top-flite pass rush on 3rd down. The Gopher secondary won't have to cover the OSU receivers for long and can jump on the short slant routes and out routes. Tressel won't be able to call any passing routes downfield because he knows Prior won't have the time to let those routes develop. The Gopher safeties can cheat up on the routes over the middle because they know they won't have to defend the deep ball. Royston will probably tie Tyler Sash for the BT lead in interceptions in this game alone. God knows Sash hasn't needed to cover a single receiver all year and now the Gopher safeties can play with his same aggressiveness. As we all know, DL play is the key to football and the Gopher DL will be more dominant than ever.
