What is the outside of their helmets made of, if its the same as everything why do they look different?

Nope, not made of anything different. Just the type of paint. Check out the uni watch blog, they have all the info on this stuff.

Matte finish on the paint. Regular helmets. Die Ducks!

Seriously if you think their uniforms are bad, just get a load of their basketball floor.

I like the matte texture of the helmets. It doesn't really help their god-awful overall look. But done right, it could look really sharp as part of some uniform. I don't think it would work for the Gophs either, the way our uniforms are.

I am not a big fan of most of the Ducks uni combo's but I love the Ducks matte black helmets. Va Tech's matte black helmets against Boise were sharp too.
