Great opening weekend of college football.

Outside of the Gopher game, who will cover the spread and make it VERY tense for the Horned Frogs, I think Utah will manhandle Michigan. New coaches and system for Michigan and on the road against a veteran Utah squad with a solid coaching staff. Utes big in that one.

In other games I worry for Nebraska. Again, new coaching staff against a team with a veteran QB in BYU. I look for Auburn to stick it to Louisville. Gus Malzahn will not take his foot off the pedal to make a statement. As a rule I rarely can root for a blueblood program such as Texas but hey, it is against Notre Dame so hook'em. I think ND will dominate this game though. ASU vs. Texas A&M will be a great game. I love watching Todd Graham lose his $hit on the sideline but the Sun Devils have a lot of talent on their side. I'll take the Sun Devils in a close one.

The 2 other premier Big 10 games. Roll Damn Tide in a big way. Stave will put up very pedestrian numbers and Clement will not be able to overcome the Alabama defense. In the VT-OSU game I think VT's defense can give OSU's offense a wee bit of trouble. Problem is VT won't move the ball against OSU. Bucknuts big enough to cover but not a bloodbath in Blacksburg.

SS, good to see your analysis spill over to the football board.

Can we expect more of this?

Thanks, but no. Dabble once in awhile, mostly just to point out that the SEC isn't "all that", nor has it been (in major bowl games) for 3 years.
